There are lots of great things to do in the Twin Cities and if you're visiting the area then you should definitely take the time to explore both sides of the river. But, while you're on the Minneapolis side there are some things that you need to make sure you add to your itinerary. Some of them are great for those that are passionate about the arts while others might get you that perfect picture that will need Custom framing when you get back home. And if you're living in Minneapolis then these locations will help you fall in love with your hometown.

One of the images that you will frequently see when looking up Minneapolis is the Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture. This is located in the Walker Art Center and Minneapolis Sculpture Center, which is located on the east side of downtown. You will find that this is a great place for those that are interested in digital art and those who just need a break from work or thinking about how to find out if your boyfriend is cheating. There is more than thirty thousand square feet of exhibit space at the Art Center and many inspiring pieces in the gardens.

Right along the Mississippi River along the west side of the city is the oldest part of Minneapolis - St Anthony. Here you will find the remains of what was once the Pillsbury A Mill built in 1881 and you can take a stroll along the St Anthony Falls Heritage Trail. And if you're more interested in history than in visiting the Junction bars than you should also check out the Minnesota History Center on the other side of the river in St Paul.

Fans of the performing arts and the entertainment industry have much to see when they visit Minneapolis. This is the home of the Guthrie Theatre, which has three playing areas and is one of the most iconic theater venues in the country. If you're interested in house plans and architecture then you will definitely want to see their cobalt blue building with views of St Anthony Falls. You might also want to see the theatre where Prince was discovered or the statue of Mary Tyler Moore. Fans of this comedienne like to stop by Basil's Restaurant to check out her favorite table.

If you're in the mood to do some shopping or you're traveling with kids than you might want to check out the Mall of America. Inside you will find the Nickelodeon Universe, which is the largest indoor amusement park in the country. This is a great place to have some fun with the family or just if you need to escape the life of food and beverage public relations for a few hours. Then you can head down to Eat Street once you've worked up an appetite.
